Just a reminder that a good copy of a poem you have written is due in the first day back.
I can’t wait to read them! I’ll be sticking them up around the room, so make them pretty!
A Haiku is a style of Japanese poetry with 3 lines and 17 syllables.
The first line has 5 syllables, the second line has 7 syllables, and the third line has 5 syllables.
Here is an example:
Haikus are easy
But sometimes they don’t make sense

Falling to the ground
I watch a leaf settle down
In a bed of brown
